In detail here is the new mode of distribution of the Eucharist: the faithful will stand both the body and blood of Christ. After the "yellow" press conference. Changing operational in all the communities after the calls of catechists.
ROME - Communion standing for Neocatechumenal community, both the consecrated bread and wine for consecration: the change you just made the final status of the Way, delivered on 13 June by the Pontifical Council for the Laity, will commence operations over the next few weeks in all communities of the Way in the parishes scattered throughout the world. The new rules will apply to distribution of the Eucharist - as established by the statutes - for both the consecrated species, with no distinction between one another, as at first seemed to some to understand.
In fact, during the press conference following the delivery of the Statutes, the founder Kiko Arguello had highlighted the factors that originally led the way to provide for the sitting Communion, especially as regards the cup: it was especially the practical concern that you would pay on the ground Blood of Christ, con il rischio che venisse poi proibita la sua distribuzione al Calice.
Questa interpretazione è però smentita dai fatti e dallo stesso Father Mario Pezzi, who with Kiko and Carmen is the team responsible for the international Neocatechumenal. The priest, in fact, contacted by Korazym.org, explains that during the Eucharistic celebration held Sunday, June 15 at the center of neocatecumenale Porto San Giorgio, in the presence of Cardinal Rylko, president of the Pontifical Council for the Laity, the bread and the wine were received in the manner that will be extended to all communities along the route.
In detail, the celebrant, as always, will say: "Blessed are invited to the table of the Lord: Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world" and the faithful respond with the classic "O Lord I am not worthy to receive you but only say the word and I shall be healed. " Then the celebrant moves to the breaking of bread and the distribution thereof. Will move him to the place of the individual believer, who remained standing hand you hands forward: on the left hand, the celebrant will lay the piece of unleavened bread. The faithful, standing and with bread in hand, wait until it is completed the distribution of the Eucharist to all, until the celebrant, who returned to his post, says: "The body of Christ to watch over us eternal life, amen" . At that point all, standing at the same time, communicate. Having done that, and the traditional silence, take a seat. At the time of the consummation of the bread is finished, the celebrant says, "The Blood of Christ watches over us for eternal life, Amen" and drink from the cup, standing, sitting with the faithful. At that point, will begin distributing the Blood of Christ: the priest will go to the place of each individual believer, who will rise up seeing him get close and take the Cup - on foot - to communicate. Immediately after, will be back again seated, while the celebrant continues the faithful of distributing the consecrated wine to the faithful who in turn will rise to drink the wine. Once the tour ended, the celebration continue according to custom.
This mode is true for small communities, generally no more than fifty people. For large assemblies, particular those in which participants had to be hundreds if not thousands, it is plausible that not only the wine, but the bread will be consumed immediately, without waiting for everyone to have in hand an expectation that, in the presence a large number of people, it might be improper. Even then, however, the faithful will receive the bread that is consecrated wine while standing, to sit down immediately after release.
Ad ogni buon conto, è plausibile che nelle singole comunità – o nella gran parte di esse – si dovrà aspettare fino a dieci, dodici settimane prima di vedere le novità, a meno che i singoli parroci o i singoli Bishops agree to immediately apply the new rules, without waiting for the time frame of the Way. In some parishes this actually happened, even in the celebration of Saturday, June 14. In both cases, however, a regime Communion is received standing, and under both species, as is prescribed in order to tell the truth very clear - paper sings - Article 13 of the Statutes approved just "As regards the distribution of Holy Communion under both species, the neocatechumens receive it standing, remaining in their places."
