Plot:
Scott desperately needs money and agrees to the driver for a mobster. During the robbery of an armored car to the casino, a guard is killed and the situation falls .. Scott has to drive a truck with a gun to his head and the police in hot pursuit, until the explosion of a bomb dropped by the police put an end to the race. Woke up in hospital, surrounded by the FBI to figure out where the loot is over, but Scott does not talk and ends up in prison. He suffers from amnesia or really wants to hide the secret of the disappearance of 20 million dollars?

Towards the beginning of the 2000 Steven Seagal, now aged and heavily greased, he found himself in trouble with Hollywood producers, who no longer considered him a bigwig del mainstream. Esiliato dal cinema che conta, i primi tempi decise di arrivare a compromessi (vedi Ferite Mortali ), ma evidentemente non era quello il suo modo di fare visto che, poco dopo l’uscita del suo come-back, ritornò sui suoi passi intraprendendo la via dell’auto-produzione. Iniziò così a sfornare (dal 2003 in poi) con la media di 2-3 all’anno una sequela di direct to video.
Today You Die è del 2005, anno in cui il caro ciccio Seagal era impegnato contemporaneamente in ben 3 set diversi (girò in contemporeanea questo film, Black Dawn e Mercenary for Justice), situazione che gli creò molti problemi sia a livello legale (fu messo sotto accusa because they arrived late on set), of course, logistically. Chaos of this production is affected also the film in question, quite poor, patched and irreparably away from the work of the best Seagal. Today You Day is the essence of illogic, everything happens by chance and there is no rational explanation for the actions taken by the characters on the screen.
The plot creates a character unusual in the stereotype that Seagal is used, leading to long-time fan like me to maintain a minimum level of curiosity in the epilogue narrative. But patience, in this case, it pays off to wait because our desire and hope to see a ciccio Seagal pissed and there will be a bad end at the edge of pathos, a wall of morality made in the USA so dear to this production of low caliber. The action sequences are small, with a few well-designed and constructed sequence (the initial chase with the truck) we sganascerà with laughter trying to distinguish Seagal (here at historic lows) from the true stand-in scenes of combat.
A shoulder to make our hero will be just another rapper color that will show off the classic repertoire gangsta. It will waste the "son of a bitch" as you will waste the various despicable jokes that the two protagonists will be exchanged in the course of the film.
cost 15 million dollars (and then not even be considered as strictly low budget) Today You Die is one of the most reprehensible films ever made by the former tail.
