(comingsoon.it)
Commento:
Magazines, film buffs and cinemini have trust and hope in a revival of the industry with this film Zombiglione (a term coined by the comparison made between the leaders of Tiromancino and Rob Zombie) who did so much to talk about when abroad.
Because of a troubled post-production the film was, in fact, initially distributed in a foreign land, enjoying some success, and after having made a name made landfall in Italian soil, though choked in the theatrical release of Robin Hood, Iron Man and Prince of Persia 2, the blockbuster U.S. dollars from millions of tourists and certainly wide appeal.
Those who expect a film bloody slaughters and will always remain very disappointed that Shadow is a pretty smart film in its own way, which is not to seek effettaccio from torture-porn splatter but using it as a vehicle channeler, bringer of anguish and anxiety. The tension is certainly not to the stars, and few are the moments of real terror will reign supreme, but the curiosity generated primarily by living and Swimming Arquint that effect, compelling and true star of the film with his mimicry of the whole body and his Choir physical expression that led him to approach the collective representation of death that you, ready to grab his scythe with the unfortunate duty.
The film begins in the best possible way, about the indisputable panorama of Tarvisio, a mountain resort on the border with Austria and Slovenia, who with his thick gray mist tinged with this film. And it is the gray color most representative of a film is not trapped in some of the stylistic 'horror, but that is interposed between the thriller setting (the hunting of prey between the two hunters and tourists refers to no frills That Quiet Weekend Fear) el'horror atmosphere. In fact after the initial block from pursuing marked among the winding paths of the location and charm, is followed by a central part made entirely in an enclosed space, base of operations Swimming Arquint which is not exactly a villain, the killer or the monster of the moment, but rather an entity that has its own logic. The reason of his presence is the unknown that pervades the entire duration of the movie that will do the strangest conjectures. Unknown which is then resolved in a final, in my opinion, rather hasty. Considered by many as a touch of class but that I know have already seen (Jacob's Ladder).
The film loses depth and pathos in its final resolution, which relegated all (I do not want spoilers that much) to a trivial, and at least misplaced criticism of the war and its ambassadors. But Carina a specific sequence filmed in the house Swimming Arquint: Zampaglione ago through a series detect the darkness of the wall paintings of characters like Hitler, Stalin and Bush.
honestly do not understand why the directors of modern horror nell'après final coup are always looking for the most bizarre and incomprehensible, changing the entire log and trying to effect the shot that works once in a thousand, and that often jeopardize the entire product.

Apart from this narrative lightness Zampaglione Fred does a great job: although a bit 'naive Shadow seems almost an international production, filmed in a very good and with a mounting an excel and a photo sublime. The
, though, small cast is still level and beyond the already plurimenzionato Swimming Arquint I would note is the fine performance of Ottaviano Blitch, speaker of Virgin Radio, perfect in the role of the hunter hicks sputazza that when he speaks.

The soundtrack refers in many respects to that of classical settantiani of our production of the thrill of the mold, therefore, markedly Goblin. And in addition to these atmospheric original songs out of order are some musical moments with "Come on, there is a road in the woods ..." by Bixio, made up some old scratchy gramophone and used in an exceptional way in some particular scene. Evocative.
In closing the accounts of the board and fans do not go to see Shadow with the acceptance of the clause "you may be disappointed because this film certainly Zampaglione is absolutely not for everyone and can undoubtedly disappoint but the same way, with surprising honesty.
Memorable Scene: Swimming Arquint licking the frog in a psychedelic sequence, the combination of the Swiss actor and death.
Rating: 3 / 5 rating
Trash: 1 / 5 .... just because it appears in the opening sequence of the beer Coop.
